How reupholstery works

From photos to finished furniture in five steps.

  1. Photos and wishes

    Send photos from different sides of the furniture, including underneath, along with approximate measurements and your phone number.

    You can also tell me about any other wishes and considerations relating to how the furniture is used.

  2. Estimate and plan

    I will email you an initial estimate and a proposal for the work.

    What determines the price?

    The price depends on the amount of work, fabric quantity and price, any repairs needed and other materials, such as replacement padding. The estimate explains what is included. Fabric is ordered separately and invoiced in advance.

  3. Choosing fabric at the workshop

    Together we choose a fabric that suits the furniture, your home and its intended use.

    How do I choose a fabric?

    The workshop has a wide selection of quality fabric samples. You are welcome to borrow samples to view at home. Fabric is always ordered separately. A photo of the furniture’s surroundings helps with recommendations. Fabric suppliers I represent include Annala, Orient Occident, Svensson, Kvadrat, Lauritzon, Lateco Botim, Johanna Gullichsen and Trapiche & Co.

  4. Delivery to the workshop and completion

    We arrange delivery of the furniture to the workshop. The work is completed on the agreed schedule.

    How do I bring the furniture to the workshop?

    The workshop is located in Auroratalo in Träskända at Kuninkaantie 43, Espoo. Visits are by appointment. See arrival instructions. Most customers bring their furniture themselves, but transport for small furniture or a delivery service can be arranged separately.

  5. Furniture back in use

    Collect the finished furniture from the workshop or arrange delivery to your home.

    What comes with the finished work?

    You receive a fabric sample and care instructions for the upholstery fabric to keep your furniture beautiful for as long as possible.

You will receive an email update at every stage and can follow your order through a link in your email.
